Turpion Limited, a company owned by Pion Ltd and the Institute of Physics (IOP) Publishing, is celebrating its 20th anniversary. Turpion translation project covers critical Russian research in mathematics, physics and chemistry, and provides easy access to the achievements of scientists and well-known experts from Russia and all over the world.

The intention is to produce high-quality English translations of the best Russian journals and to publish these English versions as soon as possible after the Russian version. The new approach has produced an effective cooperation between the Russian Academy of Sciences, Institute of Physics Publishing, the London Mathematical Society, the Royal Society of Chemistry, and Turpion Ltd.

IOP Publishing, in partnership with Turpion Ltd, distributes and markets the journals. This partnership leads to valuable visibility of the Russian research in the globally-connected electronic age.

Turpion journals continue to play a central role in the development of Russian basic research, publishing some of the best articles by prominent authors.
